Alice Fong Yu Alternative School (尤方玉屏學校) is the Nation’s first Chinese immersion public school.
Established in 1995, the school is nestled on a quiet hillside in the Inner Sunset neighborhood.
We offer a rigorous Chinese language immersion instructional program from kindergarten through eighth grade.
The school is named after San Francisco’s first Chinese American teacher, Ms. Alice Fong Yu
